Curriculum Days 2022/23

We have had some very enriching curriculum days in the Autumn term. Have a look at what we have been up to!
Year 6 had lots of fun and worked so hard to create some excellent products to sell to the rest of the school as part of their enterprise topic. They did such a good job and raised lots of money!
Year 3 had a fantastic visit to Chelmsford museum in the Autumn term. They learnt all about the Stone Age people in Chelmsford.
Year 4 had a fantastic Roman Day where they examined Roman artefacts, did some Roman cooking and made their own tile mosaics. They also took part in a Roman battle and learnt lots of new and interesting facts from their Roman visitor!
Year 5 learnt all about the Ancient Egyptians on their curriculum day. They took part in lots of activities such as making Shabti dolls from clay, carving scarab beetles into soap and making their own canopic jars. They also experienced a festival and a feast with some Egyptian food.
Year 6 really enjoyed dressing up and experiencing a day as a 1940s evacuee. They created some make do and mend Christmas decorations; made some spam hash and fatless sponge and even learnt to Lindy hop and do the Lambeth Walk!
